FaceRecog FAQ 1. The App doesn't run on my phone! Our very first release v1.0 will run only on ARM v7 phones. You must check with your manufacturer to ensure that your processor is ARM v7. Other reasons for the App crashing or not locking your phone may include incompatible device configuration. You may send us a report at support@vediket.com with details. Will try to fix and provide support for many more devices in the upcoming updates. 2. Is this App really 100% free? Yes, and we plan to keep it that way. This version is ad-supported. Additionally, we might release an ad-free version with a low pricing in the future. But you can be assured that we will keep all functionality free. 3. Where can I download this? Currently it can be downloaded from the Android Market here:. 4. Why is the App confusing me with my friend? This happens when the confidence score is low or you haven't added enough training profiles. Visit the FaceRecog page for tips. 5. My video is upside down or mirrored! Go to the settings screen and check/uncheck the "Flip camera output" option. 6. Why does the App need to change the home launcher setting? Due to Android's security policy, the App can not override the home button unless you provide explicit consent. Setting this App as a home launcher DOES NOT affect other Apps or your phone settings. 7. Help! I forgot my password and can't unlock with my face! Send us an email at support@vediket.com. Note that we may not be able to help you if your device isn't a phone or if we have insufficient resources to respond quickly. In that case, you can do a factory settings restore to unlock the phone. 8. The training is stuck at 0% for my face. If the App continues to tell you that it is "trying to find your eyes", make sure that you're in a well-lit place with nothing blocking the camera's view of your eyes. Wearing glasses is okay as long as there is no visible glare. Also, make sure the distance between the phone and your face is good enough for seeing the whole face clearly on the display. 9.
